Is it true that a mom should not read, watch tv, use computers after giving birth (c-section) for a few days?

My dad saw my wife doing a bunch of computer stuff, and told her it was bad for the eyes to do it after giving birth. She herself admitted that after the operation it was the first time in her life that she found herself with a blurry sight..Is it true that a mom should not read, watch tv, use computers after giving birth (c-section) for a few days?
What does giving birth have to do with your eyesight? Is it true that a mom should not read, watch tv, use computers after giving birth (c-section) for a few days?
There's no scientific evidence of this. She may just be tired and should rest. And she may want to get her eyes checked, but pregnancy and delivery has nothing to do with the eyes.
lol sorry but no
She's probably just tired and needs to rest and sleep. It may just be that she should be laying down. Doc's in the hospital wouldn't let moms turn on their TV's in their rooms if this was true. Tell your dad to leave your wife alone.
That's just weird.

The only reason I can think of for not doing these things after a C-section is that she's having trouble sitting up because of the abdominal injury.
yeah because they lose stuff in their brain and dont want to focus. i dunno what else. LMAO
what?? That has nothing to do with eyesight. THat is the only thing they can enjoy when healing. Its good to sit an relax and watch some tv , especially while the baby is asleep.
If this is true I should probably be dead!! I've had two c-sections, and I've never ever heard this. Blurry vision is probably a side effect of the anesthesia or pain killers, but it has nothing to do with having a section.
i dont see why it would be a problem.

it is not like she is driving a forklift or a semi truck.

if it helps her pass the time inbetween feedings, why not.
