Is this true or is my mom trying to put it off?

OK so i want my ears pierced really really bad and my mom finally said yes! but she said i had to do it after i made my recordings for my christmas CD but now she says i'm not ready to record it but she keeps putting it off she says she wants it after that because my ears might get infected from the ear phones i have to wear she thinks they have lodes of germs on them is this true or is she just trying to put it off?????? PS when i do get my ears pierced how long should i wait to wash my hair?

and u should be able to wash ur hair the next day without a problem


you really shouldnt have a problem washing your hair the day you get ur ears pierced but its good to wait so that the blood clots and starts the healing process ASAP

Assuming your recording session is going to be done in a studio and not at home (otherwise I fear for you if there's a serious risk of germs in your own house), the simple answer is to bring along some alcohol wipes and wipe down the headphones before you put them on. She's probably right about the countless unknown potential germs, and you really don't want a new piercing to get infected, but simple precautions will easily prevent that. Follow up with your ear ring cleaner after your session is over just to be sure :)

your mom is crazy. and also, you dont have to wait any amount of time to wash your hair! getting your ears pierced isnt a big deal. it really doesnt effect any other aspect of your life. the only way you can get infected is if you get really cheap metal or whatever, or if you have an allergic reaction to your earrings. dont worry about it!


tell your mom that your body is your art and you want to decorate it!
there are germs everywhere nothing can change that so as long as you follow the directions and clean them properly, which i believe is two to three times a day you will be totally fine, and you don't have to wait and wash your hair. also when you go to get your ears pierced ask the person piercing your ear as many questions as you want, they can answer them for you.
you can wash your hair whenever you want that has nothing to do with your ears getting infected. and just get a good pair of earings even if they cost a bit more. and when they give you that liquid stuff to clean your ears and earrings with make sure you use it !
